Max. mild steel sheet thickness

With use of draw stud 9,5 mm (3/8” UNF) 2,0 mm sheet thickness
With use of draw stud 19,0 mm (3/4” UNF) 2,5 mm sheet thickness

Thicker sheet metal is possible, however this will reduce lifetime of punches and draw studs.

For manual and hydraulic operation. Draw studs must be greased when operated manually. We recommend using WAB Lubricant (Art.No. 040001 or 040002).

Punch and die (without draw stud)

Problems with slug removal?

For easy slug removal we recommend to drill pilot hole1,5 mm larger than draw stud size. When operating manually rotate wrench 3-4 times upon punching. Operating with hydraulic punch drivers requires 2 additional strokes. Slugs will easily fall out.
